Kevin Robert Christensen, a Box Elder County Justice Court judge in Brigham City, engaged in sexually graphic conversation online with someone he believed to be a 13-year-old girl, as part of an investigation led by the FBI's Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force. Investigators found he had also sent explicit photographs to several actual children and expressed interest in young children in chats with other adults.
Christensen pleaded guilty in April to three felony charges: enticing a minor over the internet and two counts of dealing in materials harmful to a minor.
He was sentenced in June 2026 to three separate prison terms of zero to five years each — ordered to serve them consecutively, not concurrently, extending his total time behind bars. He will be required to register as a sex offender for life.
