Mitchell Q. Soules Jr. Removed

Mitchell Q. Soules Jr., town justice of the Little Falls Town Court in Herkimer County, New York, was arrested in June 2023 on multiple drug possession and sale charges after authorities said he sold cocaine. Soules resigned from the bench on April 17, 2024, the same day he pleaded guilty to a felony count of third-degree sale of a controlled substance. He was sentenced to six months of house arrest and five years of probation. The State Commission on Judicial Conduct separately investigated a reported incident in which Soules invoked his position as a judge to get a free ride home from Herkimer police. As part of his resignation, Soules agreed to never again seek or accept judicial office in New York.
