Joseph Molina Flynn Removed

Joseph Molina Flynn, a Central Falls, Rhode Island municipal court judge and immigration attorney, resigned from the bench on January 23, 2025 — the same day FBI, Homeland Security Investigations, and IRS agents raided his Providence law office. The federal government subsequently moved to seize his $1.2 million East Greenwich home, alleging he lied on his mortgage application; Flynn admitted to agents he had falsely claimed to have no employees because he lacked the tax returns to support the mortgage application otherwise. Prosecutors later accused Flynn of hiding business income by funneling it into personal expenses, including roughly $190,000 in American Express charges and $8,000 in luxury car payments, writing nearly $130,000 in checks to himself, failing to file payroll taxes for his employees, and failing to report income he earned both as an adjunct professor at Roger Williams University and as a Central Falls municipal judge. The Rhode Island Supreme Court disbarred Flynn in 2026, and he subsequently reached a plea deal on federal fraud and tax charges.
