Joseph Michaud Reprimanded

Joseph L. Michaud, a Massachusetts Housing Court judge (Metro South Division), was publicly reprimanded by the state Supreme Judicial Court for violating the Code of Judicial Conduct through Facebook posts espousing conservative political views ahead of the 2020 election. The posts, addressing political figures, political events, and other politicized public matters, were publicly visible despite Michaud's belief that they were restricted to his Facebook "friends." The SJC found the conduct brought the judicial office into disrepute.
