Robert LePore Suspended

Robert M. LePore, a municipal court judge in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey, was suspended without pay for two months after the state's Advisory Committee on Judicial Conduct found his personal Facebook activity violated the Code of Judicial Conduct. An October 2023 complaint cited LePore for publicly liking or following pages showing support for law enforcement and specific political positions — including the Ocean County Police Academy, the New Jersey State Police, the Point Pleasant Beach Police Department, and a page titled "NJ Bail Reform — Why New Jersey is LESS SAFE at the Taxpayers Expense." When the Committee told LePore to remove the violating content, he told them he had done so — but had not. The court's June 3, 2025 order requires LePore to complete at least four hours of in-person professional development on systemic, actual, and implicit bias, at his own expense and approved by the Committee, before he can return to judicial duties.
