Court administrators demoted Gershuny to Criminal Court, where he now handles only misdemeanor cases instead of felonies, cut his salary by roughly $16,000 (about 7%, reflecting the pay difference between Supreme Court and Criminal Court judges), moved him to night court in Manhattan, and barred him from ever bringing a firearm into a courtroom again.
