Kevin E. Fiske Removed

Kevin E. Fiske, a Justice of the Stockholm Town Court in St. Lawrence County, New York, resigned effective February 20, 2026, after the state Commission on Judicial Conduct served him with formal disciplinary charges. The Commission found that in nine separate cases, Fiske engaged in unauthorized ex parte conversations directly with defendants and then dismissed or reduced their charges without notifying the prosecution or obtaining its consent. The charges also included posting content to his public Facebook page that reflected bias, and using the prestige of his judicial office to promote his private business interests. Fiske's resignation, tendered after the December 2025 charges but before a full hearing, resolved the matter; he agreed as part of the resolution to never return to the bench.
