Mitchell Edelstein Removed

Mitchell H. Edelstein, a justice of the Long Lake Town Court in Hamilton County, New York since 2012, resigned in June 2025 while under investigation by the State Commission on Judicial Conduct. The Commission's inquiry centered on delays in depositing court funds and deciding cases, as well as conflicts of interest. Edelstein, who is not an attorney, resigned with more than two years remaining on a term that would otherwise have run through December 31, 2027.
